Moia Interiors is a vibrant South African interior design company based in Pretoria, Gauteng. Founded by interior architects Sue-Mari Vorstman and Jani Knighton, we're not just designers – we're space engineers on a mission to transform corporate and commercial environments across the country and beyond.
Our name 'Moia' blends Greek for 'great mother' with Zulu 'Moya' (air/spirit), perfectly capturing our nurturing approach to breathing new life into spaces.

Jani Knighton, co-founder of Moia Interiors, brings over a decade of expertise in interior architecture to her role. A graduate of the University of Pretoria, Jani joined forces with Sue-Mari Vorstman to transform Moia from a start-up into a respected name in corporate interior design.
At Moia, Jani applies her technical knowledge and creative problem-solving skills to engineer spaces that are both functional and inspiring. Her approach combines a keen understanding of ergonomics, spatial fl ow, and brand representation, ensuring each project meets the unique needs of Moia's diverse clientele.
Under Jani's co-leadership, Moia has rapidly expanded its portfolio to include major corporate clients such as Growthpoint Properties, Mass Petroleum and Spur Group. Jani's expertise in space optimization and her ability to translate client visions into reality has been instrumental in Moia's success.

Sue-Mari Heyneke, co-founder of Moia Interiors, combines her architectural skills and design sensibility to reshape corporate and retail environments. After earning the title of Design Student of the Year at the University of Pretoria, she gained over a decade of industry experience before launching Moia as a sideline business during the Covid pandemic.

At Moia, Sue-Mari delivers tailored solutions that meet the specific needs of each client. Her expertise enables her to navigate complex design challenges for major clients such as Growthpoint Properties, Spur Group and Central Development, ensuring that every project achieves high standards of functionality and aesthetics.
Alongside her business partner, Jani Knighton, Sue-Mari oversaw Moia’s rapid growth, doubling their income in year one and tripling it the next. She fosters strong client relationships and creates a collaborative atmosphere, which has been essential in building a loyal client base.
Through her leadership, Moia Interiors has built a reputation for creating inspiring spaces that enhance productivity and well-being.
